RESTORING SIGHT, RESTORING HOPE PROJECT
Restoring Sight to a Child in Uganda: We are now hoping that we might be able to fund as many as 16 optical interventions for children including several sight restoring cataract operations. We are aware that the project had a waiting list for funding children needing treatment but we need to confirm with them how soon all the operations can be fitted into the hospital schedules.

The Dr. Keith Waddell Foundation, in collaboration with Ruharo Mission Hospital with support from TWOAT Foundation, continued to implement a “Restoring Sight, Restoring Hope Pilot Project” that provides Comprehensive Health and Rehabilitation Services. The project was implemented between December 2025 and January 2026.
Aimed at providing subsidized operation fees for vulnerable people with cataracts at Ruharo Mission Hospital. The project was successful, benefiting six patients from five districts in western Uganda.
